“They say I have been brainwashed and unable to discern.”

Ju Challan, a Korean young woman, second generation Providence member, speaks up at a rally in Seoul for Providence and Pastor Jung Myung Seok:

“Hello! I am a young woman in her 20s in Korea, born in Seoul, graduated from a four-year university in Seoul, and currently actively engaged in social activities. I am Ju Challan, a 2nd generation member of the Blessed Family department of Seoul Ju So Mang Church.

I was born as a “2nd gen” of Christian Gospel Mission (CGM). Throughout my life, I have had many teachers and professors who have guided me. However, the only true teacher who taught me about life is Pastor Jeong Myeong Seok of CGM.

In the world, if I say I’m a 2nd gen here, they’ll say that I’ve been brainwashed, and some will conclude that I’m unable to discern things due to gaslighting. However, the pastor I’ve seen so far has been the best, purest, and most passionate lover of God in the world.

The pastor always only spoke about God and Jesus. In particular, he was the kind of person who showed and taught with the philosophy of action, rather than words.

Do you all agree with me right now? Through the life the pastor showed me, I learned how to contribute to the world as a member of society.

The life of a pastor has always been a life of prayer. He also told us to pray every day for the world, peace, and this nation, and especially that we must pray so that no war breaks out in this country. He taught us that the practice of true love is to return and give back the love we received from Jesus as a member of the world. The pastor I saw and experienced was this kind of person.

However, Pastor Jeong Myeong Seok is currently walking an unfair path, trapped in one-sided frames from numerous media outlets. The law I learned at school is that legitimacy is guaranteed and social justice is realized only when it is based on the principles of “presumption of innocence” and “principle of evidence.”

However, I stand here because I can’t stand the distorted reality and the distorted image of a society where people accuse with only their hearts without proper evidence and pretend that justice is about having a louder voice.

Everyone, is it really a fair trial to make a judgment based on feelings and public opinion as evidence without a single piece of properly verified evidence?”

(No it isn’t!)

Is this the justice the law speaks of?

(No it isn’t!)

However, public opinion and the judiciary ignore the opinion of Pastor Jeong Myeong Seok’s innocence under the pretext of protecting the weak and respecting the opinions of the minority, and the trial is proceeding as it is. Many young people in this era are frustrated at the wall of reality and sometimes wander because they do not know the purpose of life.

However, many young people of our CGM are different. They are contributing by becoming the healthiest believers and members of society with the Word of God and love that they have learned through Pastor Jeong Myeong Seok.

However, without seeing the true nature of this place, people are talking about lies as if they were the truth, blaming Pastor Jeong Myeong Seok and CGM and driving them with a narrow-minded view.

I felt very sorry for the reality of this society in which public opinion still has greater power than justice and justice in reality, even though this society calls for justice and justice in theory.

As I was born and raised here, I checked and checked again. Pastor Jeong Myeong Seok and CGM I have seen so far aim for the most ethical life in the world, and are the best places to teach God, God as a human being, and the best place to learn how precious the value of life is.

I really ask the media and the judiciary, “Aren’t you judging Pastor Jeong Myeong Seok from a narrow-minded perspective?”

“Why don’t you listen to the voices of the people gathered here? Is it justice that the judiciary says not to listen?

I am so proud and grateful to have been born on this earth. And with the capabilities I have, I will become a person who brings benefit to this country and society.

I am here today in the hope that justice will be established in this society so that I can live more diligently in the future. Thank you.
